I don't accept many projects as of late; I'm focusing on my full-time day job along with other side businesses (making candles and teaching Zumba classes). However, you can still send me a query with the details of your project and what you're looking for. If you'd rather maximize your chances of quickly finding an editor with bandwidth, I suggest submitting a job listing through the Editorial Freelancers Association website.
Types of Projects
Whether you're a student who wants a sparkling college application essay or a small business publishing a website full of informational articles, you can probably benefit from a sharp editorial gaze. I would love to work with you on your fliers, brochures, newsletters, articles, posters, essays, theses, novels, and more. The length, complexity, and recurrence (if applicable) of your project will determine the process and the rate.
Short, one-time documents are relatively quick and easy. Just send me an email with a brief description of your project, the level of editing or proofreading you're looking for, and a deadline, and I will get back to you with my availability and an estimated fee.
Longer, more complex, or recurring documents will require more time and a more detailed discussion in advance. For projects of this scale, I will provide an estimate based on the scope of the project and will usually require a contract to be agreed upon by both parties before I begin any work. To start this process, just send me an email. Attach the first five pages of the document (or, if the document in question is no longer than five pages, attach the entire document) in .doc, .docx, or .pdf form. Please include the following information in your email:

- Explain the project. What is the document, or what are the documents?
- Is this an ongoing project (as in the case of recurring documents)? If not, what is the deadline?
- What service are you interested in (proofreading, light copyediting, or heavy copyediting)?
- What is your budget, if you have one in mind?
- Do you require the use of a specific style guide and/or dictionary? Which one(s)?
